Stacey Turner, SLP, VP of Operations for Infinity Rehab, will serve on the Leadership Academy for LeadingAge Oregon. The year-long assignment is designed to help aging services professionals accelerate their leadership development so they are better equipped to serve our field.
The Leadership Academy is limited to 8-10 participants per year, chosen through a formal application process to secure commitment of participants and the support of their supervisor/organization. The program is open exclusively to staff of LeadingAge Oregon provider members and Business Associates members.
“I have a passion for aging adults,” says Turner. “My passion began at the age of eight when I found myself preferring to read books to our elderly neighbor instead of playing in the backyard after school. I was enamored by her life stories and experiences and she helped shape my world. As a Speech Language Pathologist for 20 years and a leader of Infinity Rehab for the past 11, I have dedicated my career to enhancing and shaping the lives of others just like my neighbor.”
Established in 1979, LeadingAge Oregon is the state association of not-for-profit, mission-directed organizations dedicated to providing quality housing, health, community and related services to the elderly and disabled. LeadingAge Oregon members set the standards for the field through service excellence and mission-driven objectives. LeadingAge Oregon member organizations embrace values that emphasize individual dignity, self-respect, personal independence and a supportive environment for the elders they serve.
Congratulations, Stacey! We’re excited for this opportunity and to see you grow even more as a leader in the senior services sector throughout Oregon and the regions we serve.
