Derek Fenwick, PT, MBA, GCS, Director of Professional Development for Infinity Rehab was recently featured as a speaker at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) NEXT Conference & Exposition held in Washington D.C. Fenwick, who is a member of the APTA Leadership Development Committee spoke during the “Leadership Transforming Society: Engaging the New Vision” panel. Topics discussed ranged from discussing the APTA vision statement – Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience. – to qualities of leadership and practical stratigies for growing as a leader.
During a discussion on the “leadership journey,” Fenwick was quoted as saying, “If you’re doubting yourself, take a leap of faith and trust the people around you who want you to lead.”

While on Capitol Hill, Fenwick, along with other physical therapists from Oregon, visited with state representatives to discuss a range of issues impacting their professional and ways to broaden patient access to physical therapy services.
