Infinity Rehab, a therapy services company, recently expanded their professional development program line-up and launched their new Clinical Academy. The goal of the Clinical Academy is to produce a cadre of field clinicians who can provide support to consistency in the Infinity Rehab care delivery model.
The Clinical Academy is the brainchild of Patty Scheets, PT, DPT, NCS, and Vice President of Quality and Clinical Outcomes for Infinity Rehab. Despite challenges launching this new program amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Patty is optimistic and excited.
“The quality team has been working diligently to develop a curriculum for the Clinical Academy that will be dynamic and energizing for the field clinician,” noted Patty. “Using virtual-only teaching methods represents the agility of the team and our clinicians in making things work for the good of our patients.”
The academy is open to physical and occupational therapists and assistants who have worked for Infinity at least 90 days, full or part-time, and are level 2 and 3 Clinical Champions or level 1 clinicians currently pursuing level 2.
The academy is a six-month virtual immersion into the best-evidence elements of care which constitute the Infinity Rehab clinical model. The curriculum includes activities designed to help build skill in delivery methods and clinical decision making associated with the evidence behind the clinical model. The teaching methods are designed to be interactive, participatory, and reflective in nature and will be distributed across nine virtual sessions coupled with a multi-faceted capstone project.
Infinity Rehab has a long history of providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for their therapists.
