Courtney Holmes, COTA and Director of Rehab for Infinity Rehab at Shalom Park in Aurora, CO was recently selected to participate in the esteemed American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Emerging Leaders Development Program. According to AOTA, participants “receive leadership training, ongoing mentorship, and participation in current service opportunities that match each participant’s own leadership goals.” The year-long program kicks off with a two-day leadership institute, August 18-19, 2015, at AOTA headquarters in Bethesda, MD.
“Courtney is a self-driven leader with the ability to follow through on her own commitments and inspire others into action,” says Derek Fenwick, PT, MBA, GCS, and Director of Professional Development for Infinity Rehab. “I am so impressed with Courtney’s ability to quickly assess a situation and make key insights that help advance the conversation. We are so fortunate to have Courtney on our team at Infinity Rehab and I look forward to watching her abilities and influence continues to grow along her career trajectory that is clearly headed for greatness.”

Courtney has been with Infinity Rehab as a Director of Rehab for just over one year and already is advancing her leadership skills in impressive ways at this early stage in her career. She joined the Occupational Therapy profession just over two years ago and immediately challenged herself by accepting a management position in one of our Denver-area programs.
“As a participant in the Emerging Leaders Development program, I hope to have the opportunity to continue to explore my interests in evidence-based practice in Occupational Therapy,” says Holmes. “While I have always been involved in AOTA, this program will allow me to become well-integrated, creating partnerships with mentors and colleagues to help our organization reach our Centennial Vision.”
While working full-time, Courtney is now pursuing a Master of Professional Studies degree in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Denver, which she expects to complete next year. Courtney was also recently accepted into the first-ever cohort of the Infinity Rehab Leadership Academy, a professional development program that offers a year-long learning experience that combines onsite and distance learning to help transform high potential employees into high functioning leaders. Each of these examples represents a tangible step on a career trajectory that is clearly headed for great personal and professional success for Courtney.
