Staff at Pine Acres Don Pink Gloves for Breast Cancer Awareness

Several of our therapists joined the Pine Acres Rehabilitation and Living Center showing “hands of support” in honor of national Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Staff of Pine Acres were provided with pink exam gloves to be worn during the month of October. A percentage of the proceeds of the glove purchase was donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to provide free mammograms to women who cannot afford them. In addition to wearing the pink gloves, Infinity therapists contributed to the fundraising helping add to the contribution. The Dekalb (Illinois) Daily Chronicle published a picture of staff and residents wearing the pink gloves, including Infinity’s own David Lipanot, OTR/L.
