Walker workshops reduce fall risk

Infinity Rehab at Home therapists conduct walker workshops and are passionate about reducing the risk of falls through these events. At a dedicated, scheduled time in a senior living community, a team of therapists will conduct a walker workshop. All residents are invited to attend, and again, there is no charge for this service. First, they carefully assess each resident as they interact and walk with their walker or other ambulation equipment. Then, walker settings are adjusted as needed. The therapists will then assess the residents again to make sure the new settings are correct. Such adjustments not only reduce fall risk, but improve overall safety and can also help alleviate pain. You can see one of our events in action in the photo at the end of this article.
