I want to thank the 44 directors who recently completed our survey about student rotation availability for the 2024-25 academic year! Here is a summary of what you told us about our potential student opportunities for the next 12-18 months:
Thanks to all our directors and clinical instructors who are willing to mentor students! Your commitment goes a long way toward helping us maintain our reputation among colleges and universities as a preferred site for student clinical rotations with older adults. It also helps us with our future workforce needs since student rotations are a frequent source for new hires.
Thank you also to all our directors who responded to the survey indicating that you cannot accept students. We know that students may not be a good fit for a program for a variety of reasons. Knowing for sure where we cannot take students is an important part of keeping our entire program running smoothly. Thanks for the time to took to share that fact about your program.
Next, we will pair our available opportunities with school requests. These pairings will go into our student program software, Clinician Nexus. Once in Clinician Nexus, we will communicate with schools and the directors from our available sites to let everyone know where we have opportunities scheduled. New for this year: be on the lookout to learn more soon about how all our directors and clinical instructors can see rotation details inside Clinician Nexus!

These programs were randomly selected from all the responses we received to the student survey. Instructions about how to cash in your prize were recently sent to the directors of these sites.
