Our Shining Star in this issue is Lyndsey Jarvis, OT. Lyndsey works at Columbia Lutheran in Seattle, Washington.
Here is what her nominator had to say.
Lyndsey is calm under pressure and handles interdisciplinary and patient/ family communication with confidence and humility. She doesn’t initiate conflicts but is able to resolve them.
Lyndsey is a PRN but no one would know it judging by the patient care she provides. She frequently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of her patients. Recently she handled a challenging conversation with a family member with tact and grace. On a Saturday, with no one else around, she took it upon herself to look on multiple floors of the building to find the right piece of equipment (a drop arm bedside commode) for the patient. With her initiative, she demonstrated compassion and commitment to the patient’s goals which was truly appreciated by the patient and her family.
