Our first Shining Star this issue is Jennifer Hernandez, Rehab Coordinator. Jennifer works at Josephine Caring Community in Stanwood, Washington.

Jen is an invaluable team member who keeps our rehab team organized, informed, and running incredibly well.
Jennifer has taken on additional responsibilities with our SNF being without a DOR for a number of months, and, she has taken on tasks assisting with the Infinity Rehab home health department in Stanwood, WA, as well.
Jen is committed to managing scheduling therapy sessions with our rehab and home health patients, participating in stand-up IDT meetings and assisting to help with on boarding new employees. The home health department utilizes a different EMR, as well as different processes, and Jen has faced these new challenges with determination and dedication. Ultimately, she is an invaluable member of the team who usually has the answers to our therapists many questions!
Our second Shining Star this issue is Elizabeth Barker, ARD Administrative Assistant. Elizabeth is based at the home office in Tualatin, Oregon.
Here is what his nominator had to say.
With Nancy Calhoon’s retirement, Elizabeth has had to step into roles that she has had little training in but has been willing to dive deep to figure out issues and resolve problems, all while maintaining a positive attitude! Specifically, I have worked with Elizabeth to help resolve missing receipts for credit card transactions, and she has always been very positive on our phone and email conversations and willing to take suggestions and ask for help as needed! In the past, Elizabeth has also helped me pull data for Medicare reports required by facilities, and this is normally a finance only task, but she was willing to step in and help our team when we were short-staffed!
Elizabeth has stepped into roles to help out other departments when they are short staffed which helps Infinity as a whole continue to function properly!
