Our first Shining Star this issue is Ashley Shadle, OT. Ashley works at Avamere at Pacific Ridge in Tacoma, Washington.

This therapist is particularly skilled at: teamwork.

I have seen this therapist “go the extra mile” by: Problem solving with the COTA to come up with the plan that was outside of the norm of most patients. The idea was set in motion to adapt a toileting set up for patient to increase independence. The COTA then was able to set up this task with patient.

This therapist expresses and emulates the Infinity Rehab mission and vision in the following manner: Teamwork, camaraderie, and fun.

Our second Shining Star this issue is Caroline Walters, SLP. Caroline works at The Gardens at Terracina Health and Rehabilitation in Naples, Florida.

This therapist is particularly skilled at: Patient care, teamwork, building team morale, supporting others including nursing, documentation, productivity.

I have seen this therapist “go the extra mile” by: Caroline will stay late, come in early, call families, research items for patients and families. She builds rapport with patients that foster success. She has offered help to me and the department without being asked. She will do most tasks without being asked.

This therapist expresses and emulates the Infinity Rehab mission and vision in the following manner: Caroline strives for patient success and satisfaction. Her patients enjoy therapy with her and ask for more ST services. She helps promote teamwork and fun at work by always finding the “silver lining.” This team would not be complete without her.
