Our first Shining Star this issue is Kaitlyn Holtz, OT. Kaitlyn works at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls, Minnesota.

Here is what her nominator had to say.

Kaitlyn is an occupational therapist delivering exceptional care to all residents under her care.

During the time the DOR was out on maternity leave, Kaitlyn rose to occasion to be the conduit of communication between the therapy department and the IDT at St. Otto’s. She performed under some pressures from the facility and remained professional and communicated to the therapy team effectively.

The therapy team operated under the absence of a DOR but Kaitlyn took the time to discuss complex patients with the therapy staff, navigate some difficult communications with IDT staff and remained professional, kind and caring in the process.

Our second Shining Star this issue is Donna Holzhauer, PT. Donna works at Mission Healthcare at Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington.

Here is what her nominator had to say.

This therapist is particularly skilled at: Identifying both what patients and care team members need to maintain good communication to support our patients’ needs.

I have seen this therapist “go the extra mile” by: She builds great rapport and trust with her patients helping them to help themselves even when they are tentative about doing something new/pushing themselves to meet their goals.

Our mission is to set the standard in rehabilitation for successful aging by delivering the best of science with the art of caring. This therapist expresses and emulates the Infinity Rehab mission in the following manner: I hear her say almost on a daily basis: “I just want to do the right thing,” and she works on providing the highest quality care she can to each and every patient. She models integrity and passion in all of her interactions that promotes other team members to do the same.
