As of January 1, 2023, premium collections for the Paid Family and Medical Leave programs for Oregon and Colorado will begin, while Washington’s premium rate will increase. Please refer to the corresponding FAQ’s for more details about these programs!

OREGON
When will paid leave start?
On Jan. 1, 2023, employees and employers will begin paying into the new program.
On Sept. 3, 2023, employees can start applying for benefits.
COLORADO
On Jan. 1, 2023, employees and employers will begin paying into the new program.
On Jan. 1, 2024, employees can start applying for benefits.
WASHINGTON
The WA paid leave program has been in place since January of 2020
On Jan. 1, 2023, the premium will increase from .065% to .08% to keep pace with more people using the program. Employers will pay 27.24% of the total premium and employees will pay 72.76% – a ratio similar to 2022.
