Mike Billings, PT, DHSc, MS, CEEAA
President
I hope this message finds you well. We want to inform you of an important decision that has been made regarding our corporate strategic direction, which will, unfortunately, result in the closure of several outpatient therapy clinics over the next 60 days.
After carefully considering and thoroughly evaluating our corporate goals and objectives, we have decided to realign our focus to better serve our community’s older adults and enhance our services’ overall impact. We are pivoting our strategy and effort toward the pursuit of partnerships with accountable care organizations and health systems so that we can care for more older adults in a more efficient and impactful way. This strategy also aligns with a reimbursement model that is more attractive than the Medicare fee schedule that has reduced more than 30% over the last 10-15 years. While this decision was not made lightly, we believe ensuring our organization’s long-term sustainability and success is necessary.
Please note that we remain fully committed to serving the residents of our CCRCs attached to a SNF client in which the SNF performs the insurance billing. Those locations are not part of the closure plan.
As part of this strategic shift, we will be closing the following outpatient therapy clinics:
- All locations in Washington, Utah, and Nebraska.
- All Oregon locations except The Springs Living communities (nine locations).
The closure process will take place over the next 60 days, during which our dedicated staff will work closely with affected employees and patients to ensure a smooth transition. We understand that this news may be unsettling, and we are committed to providing support and guidance throughout this period of change.
Patients and residents currently receiving services at the affected clinics will be contacted individually to discuss alternative options for continued care, and our team will be available to assist with the transition process.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the staff and therapists who have contributed their time and expertise to these clinics. Your unwavering dedication to providing quality care has not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for your commitment.
For any questions or concerns regarding this announcement, please feel free to contact Laura Cantrell at lcantrell@infinityrehab.com.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transition period. Our commitment to delivering exceptional rehabilitation services remains steadfast, and we look forward to continuing to serve our communities with renewed focus and dedication.
Thank you for your continued support.
