Employee Wellbeing at Infinity Rehab

As the new Benefits, Leave, and Workers Compensation Manager (YES, Vickie retired in April) and THE Benefits Team (Marianne left in May), I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about the amazing team of employees that makes this organization great.  The passion that resonates in every conversation touches my heart.  The high tenure of so many employees is beyond impressive.  And the number of employees who leave but ultimately return because of what Infinity Rehab offers can’t be found anywhere else is simply awesome.

Now, almost five intense months into joining Infinity Rehab, I am excited to introduce an initiative that will encourage, equip and support this amazing team in leading mindful, wellness-focused, engaged, and balanced lives: Employee Wellbeing.

Nope, we aren’t talking about calisthenics before your shift, although stretching is never a bad idea 😊

Employee Wellbeing is an ongoing strategy, implemented one baby step at a time, to provide employees with resources (information, activities, hacks) about everything that is and can be “wellbeing”:

  • Physical wellness
  • Personal safety
  • Mental health
  • Resilience
  • Teamwork
  • Financial security
  • Agility
  • Family
  • Balance
  • Relationships

One goal of Employee Wellbeing is to influence behaviors.  One more glass of water.  One less cigarette.  One open, honest conversation to build better work relationships.  One more hour of sleep.  One less negative thought.  One pebble that creates a ripple effect.

Every employee is an individual and Employee Wellbeing will recognize that.  Employee Wellbeing will also recognize that we are all busy with work and life.  Employee Wellbeing will attempt to meet you where you are and provide the support, resources, and encouragement you need when you need it, where you need it, and how you need it.

Ultimately, Employee Wellbeing will be coordinated by a working group, made up of individuals who aren’t like-minded.  Who wants to work with people who all think the same?  We intend to form a working group to share ideas for educating, influencing, supporting, encouraging, thus equipping every employee to be the best them that they can be at work, at home, in the community, and in life.  More details on what that working group may or may not look like will be shared in the future.

The first activity of Employee Wellbeing is Self-Care Bingo. Check out the bingo card below. Complete it on your own (digitally or printed out) for a chance at a prize. Entries due August 31, 2023. Full details are in the attachment below.
