Expanding Our Impact: Growth in Infinity Rehab’s Hospital Division
By Laura Cantrell, Vice President of Hospital-Based Services
Infinity Rehab’s primary focus has always been—and will continue to be—providing exceptional rehabilitation services in skilled nursing communities. This work remains central to our mission of setting the standard in rehabilitation for successful aging.
At the same time, Infinity’s presence in the acute care setting continues to grow, creating new opportunities to bring our clinical expertise and commitment to quality care to patients across a broader range of settings.
Our experience in hospital-based rehabilitation began more than a decade ago through our partnership with Tri-State Hospital in Washington. The dedication and success of the Infinity team serving Tri-State have demonstrated our ability to deliver high-quality therapy services within the hospital environment. This long-standing partnership has provided a strong foundation—and a springboard—for expanding our hospital services into additional states and healthcare systems.
Today, Infinity Rehab provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology support through telehealth to five hospital systems across five states. These partnerships extend beyond traditional acute care and include services across multiple settings, including:
- Acute care
- Long-term care
- Outpatient rehabilitation
- Hospital-at-home programs
Since 2023, our clinicians have provided more than 900 therapy visits through these hospital partnerships. Each visit represents an opportunity to improve a patient’s function, support a safe transition to the next level of care, and help hospital partners meet the rehabilitation needs of their communities.
Telehealth has been an important part of this growth. It allows Infinity to connect experienced rehabilitation professionals with hospitals and patients who may otherwise have limited access to therapy services. This is especially valuable for rural and critical access hospitals, where recruiting and maintaining specialized clinical staff can be challenging.
The growth of our hospital division reflects the strength of our Clinical Model, the adaptability of our teams, and the trust our partners place in Infinity Rehab. It also demonstrates how the knowledge and experience we have developed through decades of serving older adults can benefit patients throughout the continuum of care.
As we continue to expand our acute care footprint, we remain grounded in the same principles that have guided Infinity since 1999: clinical excellence, meaningful partnerships, and the art of caring. Thank you to the clinicians, operational leaders, support teams, and partners whose commitment has made this growth possible. Together, we are extending Infinity’s impact and helping more patients achieve their highest possible level of function.
