Employee Appreciation Event at Symposium
By JoLynn Munro, President
On May 14, we held our annual Symposium. For the second year, we hosted a virtual event with excellent content. I truly appreciate each of you who made time on Saturday to join us and encourage all of you to view this excellent continuing education before the link expires on June 13th. One of my favorite parts of Symposium is our Employee Appreciation Event. It’s a time to highlight the great accomplishments of our therapists and to honor the great things our teams are doing in our communities. In case you missed it, I would encourage each of you to watch the event via the link in this article.
Each year before Symposium, we ask our employees to nominate individuals and teams for the following four awards: Team Clinical Excellence, Home Office, Humanitarian, and Katie Walker.
Patty Scheets, Vice President of Quality and Clinical Outcomes, presented the Team Clinical Excellence award to Sullivan Park Care Center in Spokane Valley, Washington. This is the teams’ second consecutive win. Our Home Office award was presented by Derek Fenwick, Senior Director of Human Resources. The deserving recipient was Zack Dodge, our IT manager. The Humanitarian award was presented by Laura Cantrell, Vice President of Community-Based Services. You won’t want to miss the heartwarming moment when Susan Madison, a physical therapist in Grand Junction, Colorado, heard the news. Finally, it was my honor, along with Stacey Turner, Vice President of Operations, to present the Katie Walker award to Marcia Ivie, an OT and Senior Director of Rehab in Salem, Oregon.
Our Shining Star award was created to nominate therapists that “go the extra mile” and exemplify our mission and vision. Nominations for this award are open throughout the year. Our presentation honored all the nominees from the past year, team Shining Star recipients, as well as choosing one nominee to be our overall Shining Star award winner for the year. Be sure to watch the recap to find out who that is!
We acknowledged our level 2 Clinical Champions and the amazing four therapists who have earned level 3 Clinical Champion status. Well done! We are thrilled to relaunch our Leadership Academy this year and recognized the 2022 cohort. Additionally, we highlighted five therapists who are scholars in our 2022 Clinical Academy.
We highlighted milestone work anniversaries, with some colleagues celebrating 20 years with Infinity Rehab. We also honored our therapists who are also veterans; we thank you for your service.
Congratulations to our award winners and to all our dedicated therapists who show such dedication to our patients and residents. Take some time and watch the heartwarming recap of this special time during Symposium.
