By Justin Speer, Controller

As the Controller at Infinity Rehab, I often find myself reflecting on how unique it is to work in an organization where compassion is not simply a value on a poster, but the foundation of everything we do. In the Finance Department, we spend much of our time analyzing numbers, reviewing budgets, and ensuring that operations flow smoothly. But at Infinity Rehab, those numbers tell a deeper story—one of healing, dignity, and life-changing care. Supporting that mission from the Finance perspective is not just professionally fulfilling; it’s profoundly heartfelt.

Every day, I have the privilege of witnessing the ripple effect of our organization’s culture of caring. While my role may not place me at a patient’s side in the gym, I see the impact of our clinicians’ work through the lens of financial stewardship. Each therapy session, each success story, each moment of encouragement given to a patient recovering from injury—these are the true returns on our investments. The financial decisions we implement in Finance create the stability and resources our clinicians need to give their very best to the patients and communities we serve.

What makes Infinity Rehab so special is the genuine alignment between our mission and our operations. The culture here is not just about caring for patients—it extends to caring for our teams, our partners, and even one another. People show up with purpose and passion, and it elevates the way we all work. When you operate in a company where people treat each other with respect, empathy, and trust, the work becomes more meaningful. You don’t just process numbers; you help fuel a mission that improves lives.

From a Finance and Accounting standpoint, I take great pride in helping ensure that our resources are allocated thoughtfully and responsibly. Our clinicians deserve to work within an organization that prioritizes quality and sustainability. Our patients deserve the stability of a company that puts their well-being first. To be part of the structure that supports that environment is a responsibility I hold with sincere appreciation.  And as we all know, 2025 has provided its fair share of financial challenges for Infinity Rehab.  But with the adjustments we’ve made to become more fiscally efficient and sustainable, we have set ourselves up for a prosperous 2026 that we can all benefit from.

In many industries, Finance can feel distant from the people ultimately served. But here, the connection is unmistakable. The numbers reflect real human progress. The budgets represent opportunities for growth, innovation, and higher-quality outcomes. The financial health of the company directly supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the individuals who rely on us.

During this holiday season, it’s not lost on me that working at Infinity Rehab is more than a job—it’s a privilege. I am grateful every day to support a mission-driven organization that leads with compassion and never loses sight of the people at the center of our work. Being part of a culture of caring reminds me that Finance can be more than spreadsheets and reports; it can be a meaningful force behind healing and hope.
