Shining Star Spotlight: Bree Boyd Lickley, SLP, Boise, Idaho
It was recently brought to my attention that a resident’s family had given Bree high regard and were very appreciative of her, even deciding to have their family member stay at our community vs going home on hospice services. They were so pleased with her because she had gotten their family member to eat that day. The resident was very ill and hadn’t eaten much in days, and what they had eaten they had trouble swallowing. Bree was able to give the family some reassurance through her clinical skills/knowledge and showed compassion towards them and their concerns. Bree emulates “lead with courage” from our core values while caring for the most vulnerable residents and meeting them and their families where they are, often at the most traumatic and overwhelming times. I am so proud to have Bree on my team!
