- Evaluation and Management of Dysphagia in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care Settings
Speech therapists are called upon to assess residents for potential problems of dysphagia frequently in the long-term care setting. What does the research indicate is best practice for evaluation as well as treatment of swallowing disorders? What is the evidence for best practice for individuals with advanced dementia? This course will review common etiologies, evaluation and treatment of dysphagia as well as discuss end-of-life considerations.
